To analyze Bursa first amateur league footballers agression level and their self-efficacy belief

Turning the anger into aggression causes financial and emotional damage on people. A great many of researches that analyze the effects of having an interest in sports branch on aggressive manners have been done. The aim of this study is to analyze amateur footballers' aggression level and their self-efficacy belief. The population of the research is composed by individuals who play football amateur league in Bursa in 2012-2013 season and research sample is composed by individuals who play football in first amateur league in Bursa and are between 17-23 ages, 33.3% of them are 17 years old and 37 individuals, 11.7% of them 18 years old and 13 individuals, 9.0% of them are 19 years old and 10 individuals, 5.4% of them are 20 years old and 6 individuals, 8.1% of them are 21 years old and 9 individuals, 32.4% of them are above 21 years of age. As well as 9.9% of them are 11 individuals who have done physical exercise for 1-2 years, 9.0% of them are 10 individuals who have done physical exercise for 3-4 years, 18.0% of them are 20 individuals who have done physical exercise for 5-6 years, 22.5% of them are 25 individuals who have done physical exercise for 7-8 years, 40.5% of them are 45 individuals who have done physical exercise for 8 years and above. In the research, 'Self-Efficacy belief' that was developed by Riggs et all. (2002) and 'Aggression inventory' that was developed by Kiper (1984) were used. The data was analyzed thanks to SPSS 21 packet program. All the studies were examined on 0.05 significance level. The data that were gained in this study was viewed with Descriptive Statistics, Correlation, Anova, Manova and Regression Analyze. In the study, it was seen that self-efficacy does not have a significant effect on devastating aggression and passive aggression but on active aggression it has a significant and negative effect. At the end of the research in the basic linear regression analysis that was done to analyze the effect of self-efficacy on active aggression, it was seen that self-efficacy has a significant and negative effect on active aggression. (p=.001, p<.05) In other words, as self-efficacy level of the footballers who take place in research sample group increases more, their active aggression decreases more.
