Özet (EN)
Flies in the genus Musca have a wide distribution area in the tropical and subtropical climate zones of the world, excluding the poles. In addition to creating various ailments, especially uneasiness, in humans and animals they are infested with, they also negatively affect both human and animal health by being a vector for many factors. They play an important role in both the transmission and biological evolution of many pathogens, including bacteria, fungi, viruses and parasites. Musca domestica L. is the most observed species in the genus Musca. The study is based on measuring the resistance against Diflubenzuron and Pyriproxfen of F2 and F3 larvae obtained from populations collected from 11 districts of Bursa province during the summer periods of 2013-2014 by feeding method. For this purpose, special media containing Diflubenzuron and Pyriproxyfen at 0.01/0.1/1/10/100 ppm doses were prepared. Larvae between 48-72 hours of age were placed in these media and adult emergence rates were recorded at the end of 14 days. In addition, only milk was used in the broths in the control groups. LC50 doses were calculated using the EPA-PROBIT analysis program on populations using adult emergence rates. The LC50 values of the field populations were compared with the LC50 values of the susceptible WHO (World Health Organization) populations and the RF values were calculated. The calculated RF (coefficient of resistance) rate was evaluated in four categories. These categories were interpreted as low resistance if <10, moderate resistance if 10-40, high resistance if 41-160, and very high resistance if >160 (Rupes ve ark., 1976). The highest RF value for Pyriproxyfen between 2013 and 2014 was found to be 3,2 in the population of Yıldırım district. The highest RF value for Diflubenzuron between 2013 and 2014 was found to be 9,33 in the Kestel population. As a result, considering the trials with all populations, the highest RF value reached was calculated as 9,33 and a low level of resistance was detected according to the evaluation criteria (<10). This result shows us that there is a low level of resistance against these two active substances in the Bursa region. Considering the results obtained while preparing vector control programs to be implemented in the following years will have an important place in larval control. vii This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of insect growth regulators, which have been used in vector control in recent years and whose effectiveness is higher than fly control, and to investigate the resistance developed against these active substances in Bursa province.
