Abstract (EN)

It is observed that the concepts of organizational culture and organizational commitment, which gain importance in terms of achieving the basic goals of organizations, are used as a tool to guide the managerial approaches of the institutions and to add positive effects on keeping employees together, performance and motivation. The organizational culture that each individual within the organization contributes to during its formation or continuity is the development of common values and behaviors. The other concept, organizational commitment, reveals the relationship of individuals with the organization they belong to, whether there is a commitment to the organization, and if so, the level of commitment. In the study, the organizational culture and organizational commitment levels of two different metropolitan municipalities were researched and compared. Accordingly, the demographic characteristics, Organizational Culture and Organizational Commitment scales were applied to 195 office employees in "A" municipality and to 147 office staff in "B" municipality. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, normality analysis and t-test were applied on the data obtained, and the effect size was calculated using the d formula of Cohen on the data of the t-test result. As a result of the t-test, a significant difference was found between the two metropolitan areas between the Organizational Culture and its sub-dimensions, and between the Organizational Commitment and its sub-dimensions. And these results are thought to contribute to the literature.
