Abstract (EN)
The need for nutrition, which constitutes the basis of human existence, clearly reveals the importance of agriculture as a result of the ever-increasing population. The importance of the studies and agricultural supports on the fact that agricultural activities play such a key role emerges. While chemical fertilizers used in agricultural production increase yields, they also increase costs and increase soil salinity in the long term. On the other hand, as a result of the lack of fertilization awareness in our country, fertile soil losses, environmental pollution or, on the contrary, decreases in yield are experienced due to insufficient fertilization. In our study, 13 root bacteria (PG) were applied to Demre pepper plant (Capsicum annuum var. longum), whose consumption and production are increasing in direct proportion in our country and in the world. ) 13 root bacteria (PGPR) strains (Bacillus megaterium RC34, Bacillus pumılus RC356, RC 16, Bacillus subtilis RC631, Pseudomonas fluoresence RC77, Rodococcus erythropolis RC49 , RC33, Pantoea agglomerans RC36 , RC86, RC9, Pseudomonas putida biotype B RC14, RC67, RC11) were applied to the root collar area of the seedlings by making combinations of 5 strains each and their effects on plant growth parameters and yield were investigated. The study was carried out under open field conditions in Eskisehir and laboratory studies were carried out at ESOGU Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture. When the findings obtained from the application results were examined, it was seen that PGPR race application was effective on some traits in the cultivation of green pepper (Capsicum annuum var. longum). The fact that the applied PGPR strains give close and high values in some criteria compared to the fertilization application will allow saving from fertilization and more widespread use in production. However, it is thought that PGPRs have direct determinants on plant growth and yield increase according to plant species, application time and method, soil type and strain type. As a result of our study, it is thought that the use of root bacteria applied to pepper plants as biofertilizers can be effective on plant growth and yield increase.
