Abstract (EN)

Since the time of its revelation, efforts to understand the Qur'an have resulted in two distinct perspectives. The first perspective sees the Qur'an as a clear and comprehensible text, while the second argues that understanding the Qur'an requires specific scholarly criteria. The Qur'an is not a book designed from eternity with a specific purpose. It was not revealed to the Prophet Muhammad with predetermined universal or particular objectives. Instead, the Qur'an is the comprehensive message of Allah to all humanity, revealed in response to individual or societal events during its revelation period. It is also not feasible to evaluate the chapters formed by its verses within a single thematic unity. A field that has determined its boundaries, developed its own concepts and thus gained real originality has a quality that distinguishes it from other disciplines. Pursuant to this approach, purposeful evaluations will be made within the framework of Islamic sciences such as Eloquence, Tasavvûf, Kalam and Fiqh, with an interdisciplinary approach, and traces of the understanding of "purpose as a method" will be sought within the framework in the Hermeneutic approach. We must say that Maqasidu'l-Qur'an is primarily evaluated within the scope of Tafsir science. Makâsıdu'l-Qur'an, which is a sub-discipline of the science of tafsir, aims to achieve all the aims and purposes of the Quran in the sense of determining the divine will in the final analysis by presenting a practical method. This purposeful aspect of Maqasidu'l-Qur'an must of course be evaluated and handled within the framework of the science of Tafsir. Intellectually, Maqasidu'l-Qur'an is of great importance in determining the methods and principles to be used to achieve the purposes of the Qur'an. Maqasidu'l-Qur'an; As a current approach, it is possible to describe it as a way of reading the Qur'an in an effort to determine its universal purposes by examining the entire Qur'an within the framework of a teleological method. In this sense, Maqasidu'l-Qur'an is accepted as a method that focuses on the Qur'an's purposes, determining the moral, legal, and theological universal objectives related to human and social life based on the reasons, context, and wisdom of the verses' revelation. As a contemporary method for understanding and interpreting the Qur'an, Maqasidu'l-Qur'an represents a significant effort to elucidate the universal and particular objectives of the Qur'an.
