Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relations between the Modern Economic Theories and the economic policies implemented in Turkey. In the first chapter, the influence of Classical Economics, Neoclassical Economics and Keynesian Economics, in the second chapter, of Modern Economic Theories on the economic policies were discussed. In the third chapter, in terms of monetary and fiscal policies, the relations between Modern Economic Theories and the economy policies implemented in Turkey are analyzed.Modern Economic Theories, in terms of implementation, argue that policy-makers should follow the rules which are defined in theory. Following defined rules necessitate regular implementation of economic policies. In Turkey, stability in economic policies has been observed only in the 2000s. In addition to that, the influence of Theories on the economic policies implemented in Turkey have been possible via proposed programs by IMF. Monetary policy in accordance with fiscal policy that Theories posited as an important criteria could be provided by TCMB?s autonomy and by the processes of taking public debt under control processes.
