Abstraction painting in contemporary Turkish painting and Seyyit Bozdoğan

The aim of this research is to examine Seyyit Bozdoğan and inform the readers about his works of art. Seyyit Bozdoğan marked and enriched the Turkish and world art of painting by adopting different understandings in different periods. In the study, literature review, one of the qualitative research methods, was employed, and an interview was conducted with the artist. The questions for the interview were prepared by the researcher and presented to the thesis advisor. 13 of these questions were identified to be the interview questions with the approval of the thesis advisor. Seyyit Bozdoğan's works of art were compared by taking into consideration his life, his birth and development within his art life, the kinds of art movements that he interacted with and that directed his art, and other artistic features. The technical information he used in the creation of his art were examined by considering the characteristics of the period he lived in, and his influences on Turkish and world history of painting were revealed with the findings.
