Modern Turkish Paint, Burhan Temel

Burhan Temel' s life, artist Id, educational aspects and his other Works were examined with this thesis work under the title of "Çağdaş Türk Resminde Burhan Temel". The search for identity in Turkish painting, the movement of self–directedness, form and subject are discussed. Contemporary Turkish Painting has been studied in groups and it has been researched that Burhan Temel' s art works has been given to Turkısh Painting Art. In this context, in the first part of the thesis work, which paved the way for the art of Burhan Temel; Western influences in contemporary Turkish painting, post –republican developments and grouping tendencies in Modern Turkish Painting were examined. In the second part, the art life and the works of Burhan Temel were evaluated in terms of form content. In the third parth of study, 2. After World War 2 political conditions were examined in the context of the art scene in Turkey period. This section alsi contains information about the group of Burhan Temel who has a profound impact on his art life. The fourth part of the study is the most original section forthe thesis study.
