Hajj workship from jahiliyyah to Islam -A comparative approach-

In this study, the pilgrimage worship of Jahiliyyah and Hz.Prophet by investigating the way it was practiced in the time of the Hz.Prophet. We handled the changes that the Prophet made and did not make on this worship. The first part of our study deals with the practice of pilgrimage in the jahiliyyah period. Jahiliyyah period is the name given to the pre-Islamic period. Because this period expresses a very old history, we first applied to the ancient works of our Islamic history saving together with the verses and hadiths on the subject so as to reach the most accurate information. In the second part of our study, Hz. Prophet tried to detect how the performed this worship and the changes he made on the pilgrimage worship, again by making use of our hadith and sirah sources. Hz. Prophet taught the rules of Islam to his ummah. While doing so, he placed every part of Islam on the foundations of tawhid. He was cleaned meticulously every remnant of pagan culture left over from jahiliyyah. The creed of tawhid is a truth that forms the main body of Islam, Hz. Prophet we can easily see from the changes made on the worship of pilgrimage. Bacause exhaustive information is given in our study, we have not mentioned the same issues here so as to avoid repetitive expressions.
