Abstract (EN)

In the present work, the effect of Callisto on pigment system and antioxidant system in Zea mays cv. Martha F1 have been investigated. Zea mays (maize) was treated by Callisto with the concentration range of 13, 18, 25, 35, 49, 69, 96, 134, 188, 264 and 369 ppm by taking the control groups as the base. In these samples chlorophyll a (Ca), chlorophyll b (Cb), carotenoid (Cx + c), total chlorophyll, glutathione levels and glutathione -S- transferase with glutathione reductase enzyme activities have been determined. The Cb and total chlorophyll levels in the plants treated with Callisto were lower than those in the control groups on the 1st day. However, Ca and Cx + c levels showed considerable increase in the same groups. In this samples, Ca, Cb and total chlorophyll levels have been usually decreased on the 5th, 10th and 15th days. On the other hand, carotenoid levels have been increased in the same groups. In the addition to, in these samples fort he impacts of Callisto on antioxidant system have been observed. Different effects have been noted for the glutathione, glutathione-S-transferase and glutathione reductase activities. Particularly increase in the glutathione -S- transferase activities have been attented to dependent on days.
