Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effect of occupational health and safety training given to employees in the oil and gas exploration and production sector on occupational safety awareness among employees was examined in the example of TPAO Thrace Regional Directorate in Lüleburgaz. The oil and gas sector is a very dangerous business and poses serious risks in terms of occupational health and safety. Work accidents and occupational diseases may occur during work. In these cases, loss of life and property may occur, which may lead to irreparable consequences. In this study, which examines the effect of occupational health and safety training given in the oil and gas exploration and production sector in the Lüleburgaz district of Kırklareli province, on the occupational safety awareness of employees, a survey technique, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. In the research, a one-to-one survey was conducted with a total of 285 employees about occupational health and safety and their opinions were examined. In the field research, employees' thoughts on occupational health and safety awareness, occupational health and safety awareness, and not giving in to fatalism were examined. As a result of the survey, it was determined that the participants had sufficient knowledge about Law No. 6331 and their occupational safety awareness increased with the occupational health and safety training provided.
