The effects of working conditions on employees: A research on motorcours

Today, the increase in online purchasing behavior has led to an increase in cargo companies and couriers. In this respect, cargo companies' need for couriers and motorcycle couriers have increased and companies in various sectors have purchased new courier companies. In this context, the relationship between the working conditions, job satisfaction and intention to leave the job of the motorcycle couriers were evaluated. The study was carried out by reaching 266 motorcycle courier who continue their work activities and an online survey study was conducted. It has been determined that the majority of the motorcycle couriers participating in the survey are male, single, and high school graduates, the majority of them are between the ages of 16-26, the majority of the motorcycle couriers have 1-5 years of experience, food orders from courier products and grocery orders are in the majority. It has been determined that there is a significant and positive relationship between the working conditions of the motorcycle couriers and their job satisfaction. It can be said that the working conditions of the motorcycle couriers affect the job satisfaction levels significantly and positively and that the job satisfaction levels will increase when the working conditions of the employees are improved and the employee is satisfied with the work environment. It has been determined that there is a significant and negative relationship between the working conditions of motorcycle couriers and their intention to leave. It has been determined that when the working conditions of the employees are not improved the performance of the employees in their work decreases and it can be said that this situation increases the intention of the employees to leave the job. The lack of studies examining the relationship between working conditions, job satisfaction and intention to leave in the national literature highlights the originality of this study.
