Abstract (EN)
This study, which aims to determine the relationship between the transformation of working and consumption phenomena and the levels of work engagement, hedonic consumption and materialism, has been examined with descriptive and relational scanning. The universe of the research consists of adult individuals who are actively working. The sample was determined as 319 people. The "Utrech Work Engagement Scale" (UWES-3) for passion for work, the scale developed by Coşkun and Marangoz (2019) for hedonic consumption, and the "Materialism Value Scale - Short" developed by Richins (2004) for materialism. Form) is used. The data were analyzed by statistical analysis and then analyzed by a packet program. Addiction to work, hedonic consumption, and materialism were compared in terms of demographic characteristics and significant differences were found. It has been determined that hedonic consumption has no effect on work addiction, while materialism negatively affects work engagemnet. A significant, positive and strong relationship was observed between materialism and hedonic consumption.
