Abstract (EN)

This research basically aims to reveal the effect of the glass ceiling syndrome experienced by female managers working in hotel businesses operating in the Antalya region on organizational commitment. In this context, a questionnaire was applied to 200 female employees working in four and five-star hotels operating in Antalya. However, 15 questionnaires were excluded from the study because they were filled incompletely or incorrectly. As a result, data obtained from 185 questionnaires were used in the analysis process. After the data obtained were transferred to the SPSS program, the values related to the validity, reliability coefficients, and descriptive analyses were calculated at the first stage of the analysis of the data. In the next stage of data analysis, correlation measurement analysis (correlation) and impact measurement analysis (regression) were performed to test the hypotheses. In line with the results obtained, it was determined that there was a weak relationship between the variables, and it was concluded that the glass ceiling syndrome had a significant effect on organizational commitment. On the other hand, it was concluded that there is a significant relationship between the glass ceiling syndrome and emotional commitment, which are the subscales of organizational commitment, but it does not have a significant effect on continuance commitment and normative commitment. In the last stage, the results in question were interpreted in line with the purpose of the research, and suggestions for the subject were presented.
