Abstract (EN)

In this study, identification of halophilic prokaryotes from Çamaltı Salternwere aimed.Water and soil samples were taken from pools of Çamaltı Saltern. Atotal of 34 aerobical strains were isolated by using different media andbiochemical tests and their antibiotic resistance were performed.34 strains differedin colony morfology were tested by PCR for domain determination and 19 of theisolates were identified as Archaea and 15 of the isolates were identified asBacteria.FISH method was used as a culture independent method for communityanalyses. Salinibacter in Çamaltı Saltern was recorded for the first time by usingFISH. Archaea, Bacteria and total microorganism numbers were calculated byusing DAPI staining.Fatty acid analysis of 15 of the isolates which were identifedin bacteria domain were done to determine fatty acid profiles. Keywords: Çamaltı Saltern, Halophilic Archaea/Bacteria, FISH, PZR
