Özet (EN)

The Gallipoli front line has a special role among the front lines opened during the World War I. The war covers the years between 1915 and 1916 on this front line. The Gallipoli Wars have had a very important role in both Turkish and World history. People have tried to deal with many problems such as death, illness and hunger both on the front lines of the war and behind the front lines. The Gallipoli front line led to the prolongation of the war and a more bloody path with the defeat of the Entente States at sea and after on the land. This bloody process deeply influenced the people behind the war, who were actually in the war and behind the front line. Society has become increasingly poor, diseases have increased, regardless in this context the Ottoman Empire has had to invite even young people who have not yet reached the military age. The Ottoman State mobilized all its material and spiritual elements in this war, and the soldiers and civilians were subjected to a very difficult test. In addition to the deteriorating economy in the country, there has been a collapse in the social life. Along side of economic losses, there were also difficulties in sending troops to the front line and it was trouble to provide medical assistance. Even the provision of basic consumer goods for people became almost impossible for the public in the war years. The Turkish nation has exhibited a successful struggle through these challenges thanks to its determination, faith, and patriotism. Although the Gallipoli front line brought a huge loss of soldiers, the number of volunteer soldiers has gradually increased. The Gallipoli Wars resulted in heavy material losses on the both sides. The war had a profound impact on the life of the Ottoman society as well as the economic, sanitary, psychological and familial problems for the Ottoman Empire. The necessity of the young population to be the first subject of the war has badly effected the education system in the country.
