Çankırı newspaper

In this study, the Çankırı newspaper published in Çankırı between 1921 and 1952 was examined as a whole. With this study, it was tried to reveal the place of Çankırı newspaper in the Çankırı press and to analyze the history of the city and urban life by examining the social, cultural, political and economic news and other news in the Çankırı newspaper. The number 1383 of the 1552 issues published in Çankırı newspaper from September 1921, the date of its establishment, until February 26, 1952, when it ceased publication, could be reached. The data in these issues were classified and examined according to subject headings. The study consists of five chapters, including introduction and conclusion sections. In the second part of the study, information about the newspapers and magazines published in Çankırı during the War of Independence and the first years of the Republic, the general characteristics of Çankırı newspaper and its writer staff are included. In the third section, local and national news in the newspaper are given according to their topics, and in the fourth section, external news is classified and discussed according to news about foreign states. In conclusion; By examining the existing issues of Çankırı newspaper, data on the development process of Çankırı in social, cultural, political and economic fields from the declaration of the Republic to the first years of the Democrat Party's rule were classified and presented. In the light of the data, Çankırı city history and urban life were analyzed, and the place and importance of Çankırı newspaper in Çankırı press history was revealed.
