Abstract (EN)
Eskişehir province, which has a great tourism potential with its natural, historical and cultural tourism resources, has become one of the popular cities of our country in terms of tourism. Registration, analysis and distribution of the tourism resources of the province will be more benefit through information systems creating with the help of information technologies instead of traditional tools. For this reason, in this study, it is aimed to prepare a Tourism Resources Information System (TRIS) in which tourism resources of Eskişehir will be recorded, queries will be made and information about tourism resources. Within the scope of the study, base maps related to Eskişehir and maps of tourism resources in Eskişehir were provided and transferred to a database. Tables and fields have been created in the database for visual and textual contents of tourism resources. By the services created by the map server, the spatial data in the database has been converted into a data format suitable for create map in the web browser. With a web- based application, it is provided to create maps in the web browser and make queries by sending parameters to the services. In addition, a management panel module has been added to the web-based application in order to quickly and easily upload visual content to the server and for the announcements of the tourism resources. The prepared web- based application has been published on the server provided. As a result of the study, the data of natural, historical and cultural tourism resources of Eskişehir has categorized and presented. These categories are natural resources, health tourism, faith tourism, battleground tourism, sports tourism, historical attractions, cultural attractions and city tourism. Each category has its own subcategories. Users can filter tourism resources on map by category and subcategory basis. In addition, can be made filtering by location and can be made searching by name in selected categories. Eskişehir TRIS allows the users to obtain information about the tourism source they have chosen on the map, access the photo album, and list the events. In addition, system allows users to be informed by e- mail about the activities related to tourism resources in the categories they have chosen as subscribers. Design arrangements have been made to provide more flexible display on mobile devices as well as desktop computers. Eskişehir TRIS is important in terms of offering natural, historical and cultural tourism resources of Eskişehir with a rich category option, providing information about tourism resources to people and institutions effectively and quickly and providing data that can form a basis for tourism planning for Eskişehir.
