Abstract (EN)

Recently, the technological developments in electronics have brought many new production and processing systems, which are used in every aspect of industry. Large-scale enterprices and factories use fully automatic computer systems through drawing their production systems from manpower. The increase in using computer controlled production systems higlights the necessity of this new system. This study focused on the possible practices of different heat-treatment processing types through traditional methods that are applied to steel, and as a result of these practices, a mechatronic system has been designed. For this reason, there were three different heat-treatment processes for three different parts in different dimensions in the application process. The parts are automatically sensed and based on this sense, the suitable heat-treatment process system has been applied. This application has been programmed, simulated, and implemented in the flexible manifacturing system for the educational purposes of Festo FMS 50 model that AKU Technical Education Faculty owns. As a result of this study, the comparison and contrast in the use of heat-treatment process through industrial automation and traditional methods have been stated and discussed. Keywords : Heat-Treatment, Mechatronic, Flexiable Manifacturing System.
