The investigation of Cengiz Ayjmatov's works in the context of values education and text suggestions for middle school Turkish course books

The purpose of this study is; to analyze the values of Cengiz Aytmatov's works and to recommend the text that are suitable for national, moral and moral values and inclusives these values and created from the works of Aymatov to take place in middle school Turkish course books. In the first dimension of the study designed as a two-dimensional model in which the qualitative research approach is adopted, The values of the works of Cengiz Aytmatov were identified and analyzed. In this aspect of the work, document scanning and document review methods are used. Firstly, Primary and Secondary Turkish Language Teaching Program published in 2017, Primary and Secondary Turkish Language Teaching Draft Program published in 2017, Turkish Language Teaching (1-8th grade) curriculum published in 2015, Primary Turkish Language Teaching (6,7 and 8 Classes) Curriculum and the Social Studies Curriculum, which was one of the first programs published in 2006 were examined by the researcher and a list of values was created by going out of these programs. Then, all fictional works of Cengiz Aytmatov translated into Turkish Turkic are examined in the context of passing these values. As a result of the investigation; A total of 2765 data have been found from 36 values. In the second dimension of the study, the texts detected by document scanning and document review methods were evaluated by experts. Scores from experts were assessed by the Lawshee Technique for coverage validity. For this evaluation, the opinions and thoughts of 20 experts in the field of Turkish Education, Curriculum Development in Education and Measurement and Evaluation in Education were utilized. In this context, a total of 20 texts, composed of Aytmatov's works, were suggested for inclusion in secondary school Turkish course books. As a result of the research, it was found that Cengiz Aytmatov's works has a very rich content in terms of the values that Turkish national education has determined, and that these works has some works in the context of creating source texts for Turkish course books.
