Abstract (EN)
Aim: This research aims to determine the factors affecting these factors by evaluating the individual-centered perioperative care perceptions, critical thinking skills, and professional value levels of nurses working in surgical clinics, and to examine the relationship between nurses' critical thinking skills and professional values and individual-centered perioperative care. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study conducted at Eskisehir Osmangazi University Health, Practice and Research Hospital between 1 February 2023- 30 June 2023 with 162 nurses working in the hospital's surgical clinical units (related service, operating room and intensive care). The data were collected by the researcher through a survey using the "Nurse Introduction Form", "Critical Thinking Scale for Nurses", "Individual-Centered Perioperative Nursing Scale", "Nurses Professional Values Scale". Results: The total HPDÖ score average of surgical clinic nurses was 121.23 ± 20.88; HIEDÖ total score average was 333.15 ± 45.71; It was determined that the BMPHÖ total score average was 79.41 ± 11.88 and that these scores were affected by the individual and professional characteristics of nurses. The scores that perioperative nurses receive from the individual-centered perioperative nursing scale are affected by critical thinking and professional values at a rate of 64.1%. It was observed that increasing the HIEDÖ and HPDÖ total scores had a statistically significant increasing effect on the BMPHÖ total score. Conclusions: Nurses critical thinking skills, professional value perceptions, and individualized perioperative care perceptions are higher than average, and as nurses critical thinking skills and professional values increase, their individual-centered perioperative care perceptions also increase. Key Words: Nurse, Care, Critical Thinking, Person-Centered Perioperative Nursing Care, Professional Values
