Abstract (EN)
SUMMARY EFFECTS OF VARIOUS PRESERVATIVES ON SOME PROPERTIES OF TECHNOLOGICAL OF WENGE WOOD In this study, Wenge wood was impregnated in three different (1%, 3%, 5%) of solution concentration prepared from barite and boron compounds according to ASTM 1413-76 standard and investigated changes that occur in certain physical-mechanical properties. Total retention, retention%, fully-air-dried specific gravity value, dimensional stability, bending strength, modulus of elasticity in bending, compressive strength, bonding strength tests were carried out according to TSE and ASTM standards. According to the test results; It was found that the highest total value retention is 5% BX (62,8 Kg/m3), the highest % retention is 5% Barit+Bx'ta (%4,98), the highest air dry specific gravity value is 3% barite + Ba (0.84 g / cm3), fully dry specific gravity value is 3% Barite (Ba + Bx)(0.82 g / cm3), the highest intake values is 1% Barite (% 27.7255), the highest shrinkage value is 1% Barite (Ba + Bx) (% 10.2405), the highest expansion rate is 1% barite + Bx (% 12,49). In terms of mechanical properties, it was found that the highest bending strength value is 5% Barite (Ba + Bx) (186 N / mm2), the highest bending modulus of elasticity is 5% Barite (Ba + Bx)(20 033 N / mm2), the highest compressive strength is 1% Barite + Bx(88.96 N / mm2), the highest dynamic bending strength is 5% Bx (1.26 Kpm/ cm2), the highest adhesion resistance is 1% Barite (Ba + Bx) (31.77 N / mm2). Keywords: Wenge wood, impregnation, barite, boron compounds, retention.
