Abstract (EN)
In the late twentieh century with the paradigm shift in social sciences, the study area of translation studies which gained its legitimacy has also expanded. It is the reflection of paradigm shift in Translation Studies that target text oriented researches have taken place rather than source text oriented researches with the influence of linguistic approaches. In every period of history, translation has been used to ensure intercultural communication due to social, cultural, economic, poitical, scientifical and personal reasons. In accordance with the conditions of the period, the perspective of translation has also varied. In the last quarter of the twentieh century, various translation conceptions which adopted intricate and multidimensional structure of translation have revealed. In line with this point of view, one of the concepts which is frequently discussed in translation studies and continues to take place in contemporary Translation Studies has been the relationship between theory and practice. In the field of Translation Studies when theoretical studies are not reflected in the field of application such as translation education, translation criticism and discusssion about theory and method, translation theories are not fullfilled. Within the framework of these discussions, the starting point of this research is to examine the relationship between theory and practice. In this regard, translation journals are research objects to make this examination. Due to the fact that as well as symposiums, meetings, papers, articles and books, translation journals are important application areas where translation studies can be follwed closely all over the world and in our coutry. The aim of this study to gain a top view to the concept of relationship between theory and practice by trying to specify the position of translation conceptions in the journals of Metis Çeviri and Çevirmenin Notu Çeviri Edebiyatı within the frame of translation theories which reflect linguistic approaches and contemporary translation conceptions as both application area and application tool through translation journals in Turkey.
