Abstract (EN)
In this study, the antimicrobial properties of herbal creams formulated with different ratios and compositions of aqueous extracts obtained from the leaves and shells of walnut (Juglans regia L.), traditionally used in folk medicine, were investigated. The antimicrobial activity of the extracts was evaluated against Candida species (Candida albicans, Candida utilis) and Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes) using the disk diffusion method, and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values were determined. It was observed that the creams prepared with aqueous extracts exhibited antimicrobial activity against all tested microorganisms at various concentrations.
