Abstract (EN)

With the digitalizing world, many typefaces are used and produced in various fields. So, are these fonts compatible with the area they are applied to? Is there a language integrity in the designs made? Does it have a universal language? It is a project carried out under the title of Experimental Typography Applications in Environmental Graphic Design, where we will find answers to many questions such as: When people look at the designs, they should experience a visual feast and should be able to present information about their content and attract them with their energy. In this study, which deals with experimental typography applications in environmental graphic design from the graphic arts culture to the present, it is explained that typography is used in a more original and creative way than just a tool, it has become a goal with the constantly moving world. The designs have been examined by enriching them with various examples related to the subject, emphasizing the creative identity of the designs, and drawing attention to the use of experimental typography under the name of form-content harmony in a more original and universal way. In line with the examined samples, 9 sample application studies were carried out. In these applications, different materials have been used and the purposes of the design and the process of transforming the designs have been evaluated. While the application studies present sections from daily life, they refer to our ability to question and think and refer to conceptual art. At the same time, a critical approach is taken by placing the designs in areas that we can encounter in daily life, emphasizing how much attention is given and not so much attention.
