Özet (EN)

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), which is used both as a medicinal and aromatic plant and as a raw material in different industries, is one of the prominent plants in terms of environmental sustainability due to its low maintenance requirements, drought resistance and contributions to biodiversity. The environmental impacts of lavender cultivation in greenhouse conditions were investigated in greenhouses under the responsibility of the Directorate of Parks and Gardens with the support of Bilecik Municipality. In the study, the environmental impacts of lavender seedlings grown in 200 m2 greenhouse area from cradle to grave, "carbon footprint", "ecological cost", "water footprint", "cumulative energy demand" values were determined by using IDEMAT2025 data set with "Life Cycle Assessment" approach. At the same time, detailed environmental impacts were revealed using ReCiPe2016, TRACI methods. Environmental costs were analyzed according to European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). As a result of the study, alternative scenarios were created and it was observed that ecological costs can be reduced with the practices proposed in these scenarios.
