Özet (EN)

Societies are on their way to the future with their deep-rooted cultural and artistic accumulation. These commentary studies, which are carried out in order to bring to light the old Turkish literature researches and the works of our ancestors, are of great importance for today's society and future generations. Our work titled "Commentary of 200 couplets from Cevrî's 111-166th ghazals" is very valuable in that Cevrî's Divan can be better understood for future generations and gain the value it deserves. At the same time, it is important that Cevrî's Divan is a source for history and that we can better understand the period in which Cevrî lived. In this direction, we have annotated 200 couplets selected from the 111th to 166th gazels of the Cevrî Divan, which is one of the element of our richness from the past. While the commentary of the Divan of İbrahim Çelebi, who is one of the 17th century poets with the pseudonym Cevri, was adhered to the classical commentary methods. In this study, it is aimed to commentary on the ghazal texts from Hüseyin Ayan's work titled "Cevrî's Life, Literary Personality, His Works and the Critical Text of His Divan" in order to fully understand the content. In our study, first of all, Cevrî's life, literary personality and works are included. In the other part of the study, 200 couplets of Cevrî's 111-166 ghazals, which is our main research subject, are annotated. While the commentary was being made, the couplets were first translated into prose. Afterwards, it was transferred to today's Turkish and explained. The main purpose of these explanations is the meaning that the poet wants to tell in the couplet. Considering the conditions of each period, the meanings of each couplet were tried to be revealed by making use of different sources. Keywords: 17th century, Cevrî, Ibrahim Celebi, divan, commentary
