Application area of Criminal Law rules as a place and current problematics

Application area of criminal law rules as a place, which is a subject of national and international criminal law, defines that state's jurisdiction to punish will be exercised on crimes where geographically committed. Globalization of crimes, which is one of the results of globalization, has made states expand their regular jurisdiction rules. Application area of criminal law rules as a place has a significant role to accommodate to criminal laws of states pertaining to international cooperation which is essential in combatting cross-border crimes. In this study, it was mainly focused on the state's jurisdiction to punish with its conditions of exercising in states practice and theoretical grounds and court's decisions in Turkish Penal Law by getting examined of its grounds in international law and public law.
