Vocational education and rehabilitation applications in prison and detention house: Comparison of Turkey and the United States

Department of corrections have an old history and today they make an effort to rehabilitate and reintroduce them to society rather than put into them prison. The most important of working towards this goal is education. Today the importance of education for human is known by everyone. Nevertheless education is a centerpiece to reintroduce convicts to society and minimize cumulative offenses. In this study, the contemporary criminal law at the point of today is one of the purposes of Penal point of criminal rehabilitation to determine the status of the present and of the relevant studies tried to been identified. Our work purpose that for many years in prisons in United State are also being applied to rehabilitation work and similar applications in Turkey at the comparison.
