Abstract (EN)
Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are among the most important nanomaterials used in biomedical applications among various metallic nanoparticles. AgNPs hold a significant place in nanoscience and nanotechnology, particularly in the field of nanomedicine. Although various noble metals are utilized for different purposes, AgNPs have attracted considerable attention for their potential applications in cancer diagnosis and therapy. However, the chemicals used during chemical synthesis can cause serious harm to the environment and living organisms. Due to these disadvantages, the use of physical and chemical methods is limited. These methods are increasingly being replaced by the more environmentally friendly and cost effective biological method. In the biological approach, green synthesis commonly involves the use of plants, bacteria, fungi, and algae for the synthesis of nanoparticles. Nanoparticle synthesis via biological methods can be completed in a short time and not only provides high yield but also significantly reduces production costs.
