According to CHP party inspector reports Seyhan (Adana) (1935-1946)

Seyhan (Adana) became an important fighting area on the southern front during the national struggle; The successes achieved affected the course of the national struggle. After the national struggle, it showed rapid agricultural and economic development. The People's Party, which was founded in the country on September 9, 1923, was renamed the Republican People's Party in 1924 and the Republican People's Party in 1935. CHP, which remained in power from its establishment until 1950, pioneered the revolutionary movements. The party inspectorate institution was established in CHP in order to supervise the party organization and make party activities more effective. The activities of party employees, the economic situation of the party and party buildings in Seyhan province were examined. The problems created in the province by those who use party influence for their personal interests, as well as other problems in education, health, public works and social life in the region, have been tried to be identified in the light of inspection reports. In Seyhan province, which is in a better position economically than many provinces, both the party and the people of Seyhan were negatively affected by the struggles within the party. It has been observed that honest party members positively affect the social life in their regions with the useful works they do. In this study, according to the reports of Seyhan MPs and party inspectors, the activities of party organizations and community centers in Seyhan province and the situation of the region in education, health, public works and other fields are revealed. The problems that inspectors encountered during inspections in their regions were stated and solution suggestions were expressed. This study provides detailed information about the political, economic, cultural, sports, health and educational situation of Seyhan (Adana) with party inspectors between 1935 and 1946.
