Abstract (EN)

This study features the understanding of language, religion and women of Cibrân Halîl Cibrân, who is a pioneer in Literature of Mahjar. In the introduction part of our study, which consists of the introduction and four main parts; history of Lebanon, which is the place in which Cibrân was born in and spent his childhood years, is briefly mentioned. Then further information is given about Literature of Mahjar and the reasons for migration. In the first part; Cibrân's life is discussed, his works, which are written in Arabic and English, are briefly mentioned and information is given about his literary personality. In the second part; Cibrân's views about language are included, his manner and properties of his manner are mentioned. In the third part; Cibrân's understanding of religion and the factors contributing to it are discussed. Then in the fourth part, Cibrân's views of women are included and the effects of this topic on his work are addressed. The goal of our study is getting to know Cibrân Halîl Cibrân better and enlighten those who are interested in this topic, by discussing his most criticized topics of language, religion and women.
