Abstract (EN)

It is a known fact that development of computer technology effects all areas of life, and both visual and traditional art are effected by this development. Especially increasingly use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) causes to occur some new patterns in art area as well as other areas of life. Because of increased communication opportunity globalism, design procedure in art which becomes a uniform manner day by day restricts variations in art. For this reason, importance of traditionality and reflecting a culture in a design increases its importance.In this research, computer aided design of ceramic and china models is discussed, and it is aimed to transfer traditional motifs to computer database. According to this aim, a computer programme called SIR was developed, and views of experts were taken.Ceramic and china models designed by the programme developed in this research are suitable for traditional designs, in this view, programme may be useful. According to experts views, although programme has some productional advantages as time, lowering production costs, ceramic and china models designed by computer do not have as same as originality traditional ones.
