The effect of gender inequality on economic growth: In Turkey

That woman identity is subordinated in ecoonomic, political and socio – cultural structure as a result of gender discrimination is evaluated as gender inequality. The gender inequality concept examines that woman cannot use their rights and freedoms completely under the influence of perspective to gender which essentially points to a biological differnce from past to today in society. The reason for that rate of women in labour is low is traditional precepts of society. The roles which are provided in society forces women to choose among finding a job, building a career and domestic life. Traditional perspective needs to be demolished by determining women's disadvantages in bussiness life and developing awareness with high quality education and realistic policies. The econometric implementation in the study shows that the rice in women's attandance rate to business life makes a positive effect on GDP. Key Words: Gender, Gender İnequality, Growth, GDP.
