International transfer regulations in football with children rights

Abstract (EN)

Due to the competitive nature of football and its becoming an industry, minor football players face with physical, psychological, sexual, economic exploitation and human trafficking. Therefore, football authorities carry on works for the protection of children at the national and international level. In this regard, Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), has prohibited international transfer of minor players. In the first part of our study, reasons of prohibition of international transfer of minors and the procedural aspect of the transfer in terms of the protection of children are addressed. In the second part, prohibition and exceptions to international transfer are explained within the framework of the decisions of the Court of Arbitration for Sport. In the last part, referent FIFA regulations are evaluated compliance with the best interests of the child and the rights of the child.
