On philosophy education for children

The aim of this study is to gain philosophical though, to understand the child and childhooh correctly, to examine the stages in the historical process, and attitudes applied to children. A healty society structure forms the foundation, and the studies carried out in this context have also been examined and tried to be explained. In this study, by examining the concept of child and childhood, children and philosophy, philosophy education studies for today's children are included, and the thinking education program developed under the name of "philosohy for children" in the 1970s this In this study, the philosophy approach for children will be tried to be conveyed by giving place to World 'wide and country' wide studies conducted in this direction. Philosophy for children can be defined as children's thinking, asking questions and discussing a set of concepts, events, problems, based on an event, text, story, event, poem or visval, under the lesder ship of people trained in this field. Philosophy education is based on seeking and questioning, and the necessity of starting this educatin at a young age will be tried to be conueyed.
