Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to compare the postoperative analgesic effects of tramadol and levobupivacaine on wound infiltration after pediatric inguinal hernia and cryptorchidic testis operations. After ethical commitee approval, the study was performed by examining file records of ASA I-II, 45 pediatric patients aged between 1-6 years, undergoing elective inguinal hernia and cryptorchidic testis operations in Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine Farabi Hospital. The patients who were given 2mg.kg-1 tramadol in saline solution as 0,2ml.kg-1 into the surgical incision area by the surgeon at the end of the operation were accepted as Group T, who were given 0,25% levobupivacaine as 0,2ml.kg-1 were accepted as Group L, and to whom 0,2ml.kg-1 saline solution was infiltrated were accepted as Group S. CHEOPS pain scores of the postoperative 6 hours were recorded from the files. Hemodynamic parameters, SS, SpO2, end-tidal CO2, sevoflurane concentration changes, the time of first analgesic requirement, additional analgesic dosage, sedation level, adverse effects, satisfaction level of patients?families and surgeons were recorded from the files. As a consequence; wound infiltration with tramadol or levobupivacaine can be suggested as safe and successful methods of postoperative analgesia in pediatric inguinal hernia and cryptorchidic testis operations. However, we determined that effective analgesia in the postoperative period was achieved bestly in the first hours with levobupivacaine but later with tramadol.
