Uzeyir Gunduz?s works for children?s education of values

Children are our future. Communities who don?t think their future are destined to be governed by other communities in terms of the administration or psychology. Childhood is a period when a child?s cognitive, emotional and mental developments occur intensely. A child keeps in his mind what he hears, sees or reads; so feeds his future. Children?s cognitive and emotional nutrition is also important. In order to take good outputs from child, good inputs must be given to him. For that reason, publications that are written for children should be examined in aspect of suitability to child; and detected what they bring to child.In this study, the stories and novels written by Üzeyir Gündüz for children are analyzed. Determining the educational messages in these pieces of Children?s Literature and the values building children?s moral, ethic and character is the basis of this study.Key Words: Üzeyir Gündüz, children?s literature, education of values, educational messages
