Abstract (EN)

Today, where renewable energy systems gain importance, especially solar energy-based photovoltaic systems gain more importance as fossil fuels become more expensive. Before the installation of the systems, some methods and devices have been developed for the evaluation of solar radiation as photovoltaic energy. When a photovoltaic system is planned to be installed in any region, evaluating the satellite-based meteorological data for the region and measuring the radiation potential in the region will provide important concrete data in order to achieve the desired results with the installation. The radiation data obtained from the satellites make it easier to make predictions about the radiation potential of the region in the system to be installed at any location. Satellites may show different sensitivities in different regions. For this reason, analyzing the radiation data received from different satellites in order to increase the efficiency may provide more positive results for the solar energy systems to be established. The photovoltaic solar potential can also be calculated by additional measurements with a device called a pyranometer. In this context, the selection of the elements used in solar energy systems in harmony with each other and the realistic cost analysis will prevent the negativities in the investments to be made. In this study, solar radiation data were evaluated based on different data sources, based on satellite-based geographical locations and meteorological data. With the help of these evaluations, it is aimed to facilitate the feasibility studies carried out before the installation of photovoltaic power plants or energy units. At the end of the study, as a contribution to the literature, it is aimed to increase the efficiency of the solar energy electricity systems planned to be established by making positive contributions to the price and performance balance.
