Financial performance analysis using multi-criteria decision making method: A company application adopting logistics 4.0

Firms have to use their resources optimally in order to achieve the economic targets they set in today's competitive environment. They should regularly measure their performance in order to see their performance levels in certain time intervals. In this study, Ekol Lojistik A.Ş. adopted logistics 4.0, which is included in the list of the first 500 companies announced by the website "https://www.fortuneturkey.com" in 2020 and has serious investments in this field. Financial performance analysis was conducted in line with the economic indicators of the company for the period 2015-2019. The study was carried out in three stages. In the first stage, industrial revolutions and their effects on the logistics sector, the definition of the concept of logistics and its development stages are explained. In the second stage, the place and economic indicators of the logistics sector in the world are explained in line with the statistical data. In the last stage, the evaluation criteria (Equity Size, Asset Size, Sales Size, Profit Margin Before Interest and Tax, Asset Profit Margin, Equity Profit Margin, Asset Turnover Rate and Equity Turnover Rate) Significance weights were calculated by the multi-criteria decision making technique, Entropy weighting method. Then, using the Promethee method, which is a multi-criteria decision making technique, according to the weights obtained, the financial performance ranking of the company between 2015-2019 was made with the help of Visual Promethee version 1.4.0.0 package program.
