Installation and application of a computer-aided model of multi-located companies for optimizing of shipping plans

Today, companies want to be in an advantageous position in terms of competition by keeping inline with the latest technological advances. In recent years, the use of automation systems in industrial applications made data exchange between every department of the companies possible. When the concept of optimization was combined with technology the decision mechanism in companies shifted from humans to computers. This research covers designing a model and optimizing this model in order to minimise the delivery time or delivery costs in logistics department of a company. In the application part of this study, a six month delivery plan of a company with four locations was modelled and the model optimized by using solver. Key Words: Delivery, Optimization, Solver, Model
