Abstract (EN)

After the World War II, the political competition between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics is the main event that shapes the global politics. The reflections of the competion in question within the context of domestic and foreign politics/policies on Turkish news magazines between the years 1950-1980 is the main theme and comprehension of this work.The method used in appraoching the subject-matter is to review the news magazines (Akis, Kim, Yarın, Durum, Geçit, Yankı, Devir) published the said period with the glasses of foreign policy. In conclusion, news magazines in Turkey are influenced by global politics, particularly by the US foreign policy vision. In addition, these are other important observations of the work that the aforementioned magazines have varios positions in the scale of political ideas, they are able to affect governmental decisions, and capable of setting the agenda.Key Words: Turkish Foreign Policy, Political Parties, News Magazines.
