The evaluation of web based material that is prepared in accordance with the multiple intelligence theory

The aim of this study is to search the effects of web based teaching material, which depends on multiple intelligence theory, on students' success. The web based teaching material is both used during the lessons and after the lessons as a supplementary source. The material is devised by the researcher and transmitted to the internet to be used in science and technology lessons as a source. The data is gathered from 68 students in Trabzon Central Mimar Sinan Primary School through the records in the web site of the designer, achievement tests, observations during the lessons, work sheets and interviews with students.As a result of the research it is concluded that the web based learning material, which depends on multiple intelligence theory, helps to increase students' success. It also leads to active participation to the lessons, facilitates learning and it is also successful at appealing students' dominant intelligence types. Based on these results, it is suggested that web based teaching materials, which depends on multiple intelligence theory, should be developed.
