Özet (EN)
Aim: Evaluation of Quality of Life in Celiac Patients by the Patient Herself, Her Family and Family Doctor Psychosocial and social support plays an important role in the treatment of celiac patients. They may perceive their quality of life differently from their family members or doctor. The aim of this study is to evaluate the situation from similar perspectives of this trio, which is very effective especially in psychosocial treatment and to prepare the ground for creating ways of collaboration and to show the differences in perception of the patient's quality of life. Determining and comparing the patient's quality of life in terms of herself/himself, her/his family and her/his doctor; contribution will be made to the data required for primary, secondary and tertiary health services. Data of celiac patients living in Çorum will be obtained and awareness will be raised for necessary improvements. Materials and Methods: 25 out of 69 family health centers and 48 out of 186 family doctors in Çorum and a total of 68 celiac patients aged 18-65 years, literate, and volunteers participated in the study. Those with severe psychiatric, neurological or physical disorders, those living alone, those in nursing homes and those who changed their family doctor in the last 6 months were excluded. The celiac disease quality of life questionnaire (CDQ) was completed by the family doctor, the patient and the patient's relatives at the same time, at one time and in different rooms in family health centers. Results: Life assessments of family doctor patients and their relatives were 85% compatible with each other. However, family doctors perceive the quality of life of celiac patients to be 14.618 points higher, which makes a significant difference. Quality of life assessments of patients and their relatives were close to each other. It was found that quality of life decreased as the age of the patients increased and their education decreased. Students have a higher quality of life than other professions. Single people have a higher quality of life than married and widowed people. Celiac patients reported that the two most important factors that impaired their quality of life were the difficulties of a gluten-free diet and social problems. Conclusions: Family doctor who overestimate the quality of life of celiac patients should be supported and their contribution should be increased in diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. Disadvantaged people with low quality of life, such as the elderly, widows, those with low education and housewives, should be supported socially and financially. General and local governments and celiac associations should coordinate their activities to improve the quality of life of their patients.
