Abstract (EN)

Six stratigraphic sections measured and 110 samples collected from the Ferhatkaya and Malboğazı Formations. These Formations out crop in the study area which is located in the Çorum area at the 1/25000 scale Çankırı-G32-c2, Çorum-G33-c2, Çorum-H34-a2 and Çorum-G35-d3 sections of a large map. At the result of the paleontological analyses of collcted samples; the age of the Ferhatkaya Formation has been determined as ? Late Jurassic-Campanian (between 161.2 and 70.6 million years), and the age of the Malboğazı Formation has been determined as Maastrihtian (between 70.6 and 65.5 million years) in the study area. In the result of Facies Zone (FZ) and standard Microfacies (SMF) studies which contain both of Formations?s limestones, during the Ferhatkaya Formation deposition; Late Jurssic-Berriasian time interval, environment has become shallow then become deep. Valanginian-Aptian time interval, environment was active as tectonic and it was shallower than Late Jurassic-Berriasian period. In Albian period, it was deeper than Valanginian-Aptian period. Also, environment was shallower than Albian period in Senomanian-Santonian time inteval. During the Campanian time it was become deeper than Senomanian-Santonian period. Also, found out that, at the Maastrihtian time, during the depositon of the Malboğazı Formation; the environment was not stable, it was increasing and decreasing because of tectonic events. Maastrihtian time has been started and ended as deep sea in the investigated area.Key Words: Çorum, Ferhatkaya and Malboğazı formations, Standart Microfacies, Facies Zone.
