Economic political effects of the covid-19 pandemic crisis: Reflections in Türkiye

The Covid-19 Virus, Which Started in Wuhan (China), spread around the world in a short time, affecting the whole world and caused a global crisis. It has been seen that the Covid-19 virus is not only a healty problem but also has economical, political and social affects on the world. As a resulty of the imbalances between supply and demand in the world with the Covid-19 epidemic, production and some economic activities stopped, output decreased in the supply chain, many businesses were closed and unemployment increased. Therefore, it has become necessary for countries to take some precautions and develop policies to minimiliaze the effects of the virüs. Although these policies cover many fields including economic, political, social and health, the most important factors among these’ are economic policies. Because of the precautions, economic facilities were disrupted and people’s vital activities were restricted. In this study, the reflections of the macroeconomic effects of the pandemic period on Türkiye, America, China and Germany are determined. While determining the situation, the current situation was evaluated with the help of statistical data, published reports and official statements.
