Working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic: A research on teachers

The Covid-19 virus affected the entire world, has profoundly affected economic and social life around the world. One of the areas most affected by the measures taken due to the pandemic was working life. Along with the Covid-19 pandemic leveller, faster transformation in the labor market, working order and employment models than ever before. As in the whole world, the method of working from home has been applied in many sectors in Turkey. In this study, the effectiveness of the Working From Home model was revealed based on the opinions of teachers during the pandemic period. Teachers working in public and private institutions, one of the groups most affected by this process, were selected as a research group and interviewed to determine their views on the process. As a result of the research, it was found that the participants ' perspectives on working from home were negative and that working from home was not effective. Reasons for not working from home can include an increase in workload, a negative impact on work life balances. Their sudden and unprepared capture of this process has also had an effect. Even if the participants do not look warmly at working from home, they stated that working from home may be preferred in the future with the regulation of these negatives and solving infrastructure problems. Although the nature of the work done is conducive to working from home, it has been concluded that working from home is not enough for education to be efficient.
