Perception of job insecurity in the COVID-19 pandemic: A research on medical representatives

Job insecurity has become a concept that has attracted the attention of researchers for years and many studies have been written on the subject. Job insecurity is a term that is very important for employees, because employees want to feel safe in the enterprise they are employed. In a workplace where employees feel job insecurity face a number of negative situations including the fear of losing job and future related anxiety an this situation affects work performance and work productivity of employees in a negative way. Global economy started to worsen when Covid-19 started in 2020 and many stores had to close because of lockdowns. Furthermore, employers had to dismiss employees. This situation caused job insecurity to be felt more intensely by employees. As in other fields of work, pharmaceutical representatives also experienced job insecurity during Covid-19 pandemic and they were affected by this situation. In this regard, job insecurity is a term that needs to be examined especially in this period. Within this context, this study aims to examine job insecurity for pharmaceutical representatives during Covid-19 pandemic.
