Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the functioning of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies has been examined. The study focuses on analyzing survey data collected from IT sector employees using the SPSS software. The primary goal is to determine the extent to which individuals who claim to use Agile or Waterfall methodologies adhere to these practices and to identify any inconsistencies in their application. The theoretical part of the thesis elaborates on the fundamental principles, advantages, and disadvantages of Agile and Waterfall methodologies. It also compares the application and effectiveness of these two methodologies in project management processes. The empirical part involves conducting a survey among IT professionals and statistically analyzing the collected data. The analysis results indicate that the Agile methodology is more advantageous in terms of flexibility, quick adaptation, and customer orientation, while the Waterfall methodology provides a clearer structure and more defined processes. Furthermore, the research findings reveal that companies often utilize hybrid models to leverage the benefits of both methodologies. In conclusion, this thesis presents significant findings regarding the application of Agile and Waterfall methodologies in corporate firms and offers valuable insights for selecting the most appropriate methodology for project management. This study is expected to be a useful resource for professionals and academics in the field of project management.
