Abstract (EN)
Turkey is a very rich country in terms of both natural and historical and cultural characteristics. These riches should be protected and brought to tourism. Otherwise, as uncontrolled and unplanned tourism projects will destroy the environment and values instead of contributing to the country's tourism, wounds that are difficult to close will be opened in the tourism of the country and the region. In this respect, it will be beneficial for the country to evaluate tourism options such as ecotourism for the sustainability of tourism. Ecotourism, while offering the opportunity to rest in the natural, historical and cultural beauties of those who visit the country, also aims to be sensitive to the environment and to explore these riches without damaging them. Today, the demands of tourists for tourism products have changed and diversified considerably. Today's people have moved away from the metropolis and the center and have turned into a trend towards adopting the concept of isolated vacation alone with nature. The recent COVID-19 outbreak will further strengthen this consumer trend; We are also receiving clearer signals that more isolated tourism preferences, intertwined with boutique tourism and nature, will be strengthened. The desire of metropolitan people, who are looking for nature-oriented, calm and new places, to live in a more luxurious and comfortable environment, introduced the people of the metropolis to a new holiday concept, glamping tourism. While comfort is kept at the center of the holiday in glamping tourism, tourists are offered accommodation in different concepts in nature and different recreational activities that provide new experiences. The purpose of this study; to research galmping tourism comprehensively, to consider the goodness of glamping tourism and to investigate its applicability in Giresun province. Giresun province is a province with a high potential in terms of natural resources in terms of glamping tourism. Therefore, within the scope of the province, detailed tourism plans should be made based on the resource use balance. It is necessary to contribute to the development of tourism by providing services that are sensitive to the environment and protect the natural structure of the existing and newly established businesses in the province. In this context, it is essential to raise awareness of the public, visitors and tourism enterprises. It is obvious that glamping businesses that protect the natural structure and use nature-appropriate accommodation architecture are suitable for the tourism development of Giresun and have a great potential. With this study, besides contributing to the literature academically, suggestions will be made to destinations or entrepreneurs who are in search of the tourism sector.
